• FIRST female member of the Harlem Globetrotters
• Set the record for all-time leading scorer in college women's basketball, with 3,649 points
• First place RECORD HOLDER in eight University of Kansas categories, including total number of steals, points, and rebounds
• Could play all five court positions
• Competed in the Olympics twice, leading the US basketball team to a gold medal in 1984 as captain
• Played professional basketball in Italy and Japan
• In 1997, when the WNBA was formed, she came out of retirement and played with the Cleveland Rockers and Detroit Shock
• Inducted into ten different halls of fame, including the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
